Kereru Makes Wire Birds!

In Term 4, Kereru made 3-D birds from wire. We used two different gauges of wire - a heavy gauge to make the structural parts of our bird, and a lighter gauge wire to 'wrap' the structural parts and to add details such as feathers and wings. We needed to use pliers to twist the wire and to join bits of wire together. Here we are making our birds.
